We went back to Northbrook again this Sunday. We got there in time for muffins and coffee, but there were no muffins because apparently someone forgot to bring them. Just our luck.

We did have time to mill around awkwardly in the coffee area. That's always a good test of a church's friendliness! How long will the church members let the newcomers look awkward? At Northbrook, not long at all. We had several friendly conversations with church members and felt very welcome.

I decided once again to just be myself during praise and worship time. It was good time of worship. Several of the songs were familiar, though one song was led at a different tempo than the way we learned the song and it kept throwing us off!

If this is the church that God has for us, I believe I could be happy here.
